My honest journey to loving (or hating) this
The bed was comfortable and the separate office area in the room made it easy to focus on my work
The filthy conditions, including roaches and stains, made my experience unbearable and I couldn't enjoy my stay at all

Cheap price
Hotel is intended for smokers. I'm an ex-smoker. If you have allergies or lung problems or small children this is not a good place to stay. The beds were ok, awful, lumpy pillows but the carpets were gross and need to be cleaned. I couldnt stand to walk on them barefoot so take some flip flpos or house shoes. The bathroom had new sink/counter tops and surround for the tub, but the shower head had not been installed correctly with plumbers putty or tape so it sprayed water all over the bathroom...I Had to tie a towel around it to take a shower. I think this is why the paint was peeling from the walls in there. (The maid removed the towel but it wasnt fixed before we checked out). It's a 2 floor building with no elevator. Breakfast ends at 9am so no sleeping late if you want food.

Brand-new and reasonably large room with air conditioning as expected.

Couples avoid this disaster
On arrival, we were upgraded to a suite, which sounds good, right? But the suite came with unwelcome guests. I mean, spiders! Not exactly what I expected.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but I figured maybe it's one of those budget options that surprise you in a good way.

Manager graciously gave us a larger room for the price. He probably gave us one of the better rooms for which we were thankful.
I used a saftey pin to close the curtains. Cobwebs on ceiling. Hole in wall by vent in bathroom, ceiling above tub not connected to wall. Lizard & spider on floor be sink and sink cabinet not connected with floor. From the photo on the web, the hotel looked new. The bldng has been painted & they may be renovating room by room.

Nice hotel with fine wi-fi. Cheap, brand-new rooms, exceptionally comfortable bed, accommodating staff. Excellent location, especially for me. Located in 15 minutes' drive to the airport. What a comfortable stay, nothing too much trouble.

Our family reunion dinner was held in the banquet hall.
THE HOTEL WAS ABSOLUTELY FILTHY. I CHECKED IN AND WAS VERY DISPLEASED WITH THE ROOM. I FELT SINCE I WOULD BE CHARGED WHETHER I STAYED OR NOT, I WOULD TOUGH OUT THE ONE NIGHT STAY. WRONG DECISION!!!!! AFTER OUR FAMILY BANQUET DINNER, I RETURNED TO MY ROOM ABOUT MIDNIGHT, SHOWERED AND PREPARED FOR BED. WHILE I WAS LYING IN THE BED, A BED BUG CRAWLED ACROSSED THE PILLOW. THE ROOM PHONE WAS NOT HOOKED UP TO INFORM THE FRONT DESK I WILL BE CHECKING OUT, SO I GATHERED MY BELONGINGS AND HEADED DOWNSTAIRS. OH, AND WHILE I WAS PACKING UP, ANOTHER BED BUG CRAWLED FROM UNDER THE PILLOW. THE STAFF OFFERED ANOTHER ROOM, BUT WHY WOULD I STAY IN ANOTHER ROOM THAT I'M SURE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. DO NOT STAY HERE! IT IS HORRIBLE!! I AM NOT ONE TO COMPLAIN, BUT FOR $78 A NIGHT, I DO NOT EXPECT THE HILTON, BUT AT LEAST A ROOM WITHOUT BUGS.

I loved the big desk in my room for working and found the memory foam mattress super comfy. The hotel is just a short drive to the gorgeous Azalea Residential Historic District and the interesting Caldwell Zoo.
